Like BurningMan, our Love Burn is a spectacular orgy of sight and sound. But the most memorable moments of any burn are often found in the friendships and deeper human connections that we make. This ‘Better Know a Burner Project’ is designed to increase and expand those connections. I welcome anyone interested to join in this labor of love ♥
The genius of holding BurningMan in a desert is that the harsh weather forces strangers together. As people huddle under shared blankets and cluster to escape the sandstorms, heat and cold – in these rich moments of hardship and togetherness, stories are shared, kindness is shown, character displayed and friendships incubated. Few stories are more common among burners than that of the unexpected sand-storm that lead to meeting strangers who became lifelong friends ♥
Miami, between hurricanes, is a tropical paradise. Millions flock here to escape harsh weather. These comfortable conditions make our Love Burn a hedonist paradise compared to the desert. This level of comfort can impair those desert burn dynamics that spark meaningful interactions. So, let’s make sure that doesn’t happen ♥
The ‘Better Know a Burner’ project is designed to inject deeper conversation into the burn. And then share those conversations to enhance and and expand the bonds of our tribe. To truly love, we need to truly know. We thrive when our hedonistic pursuits are also injected with depth, purpose and meaning. The goal of this project is to ensure that we dance together, not alone. That we leave the burn with friendships as well as memories. That our tribe grows in connection as it grows in size. And that we experience as much love with our burn as we can squeeze between the techno. Everyone has a story that deserves to be heard. Let’s listen and tell those stories, and then share them with friends ♥
The ‘Better Know a Burner’ project makes it easy to interview and record conversations with interesting burners and then post them online with a photo. In the next few days I’ll post instructions that anyone can follow to participate in this project ♥

Help interview interesting Burners at TheLoveBurn 2019
Burners are some of the most interesting people in the universe. Why not record your interesting conversations and share them with others? You’ll need an iPhone, iPad or iPod (sorry, not setup for android yet), a $3 recording app and an (optional, but recommended) $12 Double Interview microphone.
Once you are registered, we’ll send you instructions on how to configure your app and upload your interviews. We’ll also send interview tips and sample questions and instructions on how to do some test posts before the burn.
